Over Huize Glory

The villa has been built in 1916 as a summer residence for a famous and rich family

The architects are the Van Gendt brothers. They used many characteristics of the Amsterdam School, like the belvedere, the wood carving, the leaded windows and the tiles.

The belvedere remains an outstanding beacon of Bergen aan Zee.

 During the past century Huize Glory had many different destinations. Many people still remember the Bio revalidation centre, where children got the opportunity for convalescence.

Since 1985 Huize Glory is an hotel, where tourists can rent an apartment or a room with breakfast. for  well deserved holidays!
